Our company history

Pneumatics & Sensors Ireland was founded by Michael Murphy, who has been involved in the industry since 1998.

He first worked for SMC Pneumatics (one of the world’s top brands, and one of our official partners), and then joined another company for some years before establishing Pneumatics & Sensors Ireland himself.

We have since developed close working relationships with such major names in Irish industry as Boston Scientific, Bulmers, Dawn Meats, Glanbia, and many more.

From our base in Fiddown, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny, we also service several other clients across the South-East, and increasingly across the rest of Ireland too.

We also continue to develop our relationships with the world’s leading manufacturers of pneumatics and sensors components, and we undertake to bring you all the benefits of those close relationships when we come to work for you.

Our company philosophy

We are committed to providing a level of personal service that you won’t find with others.

We will seek to arrange a factory visit when you first contact us, so we can familiarise ourselves with your machines, processes, and operations. This allows us to develop an in-depth knowledge of your own particular needs and applications, allowing us to provide a better service not only then, but with all future calls too.

We are also dedicated to providing you with exactly what you want – not with what we happen to have in stock.

We will source any specialist part from any supplier, to meet your needs exactly. This is particularly important if your machine has gone through a validation process (for example, in the pharmaceuticals or food & beverage industries), meaning parts need to be replaced with an exact match. We undertake to find those parts for you, and to ensure they are rapidly delivered to you.
